Letter of Access

Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 governs the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) in the European Union. All chemical substances that are placed on the EU market in volumes of at least one ton per year must be registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) following the principle “one substance, one registration”. All registrants of the same substance are obliged to use the same data to avoid unnecessary animal testing. The access rights to data are regulated via the so-called “Letter of Access” (LoA).

In recent years further countries have introduced chemical legislations along the lines of REACH requiring data sharing on a global level.

If you are not a member of the IP Consortium, you can acquire rights to use or refer to parts or to the complete registration dossiers or to any other information collectively generated or owned by the members of the consortium. Any such access rights shall be limited to the registration purpose and the substance(s) required and shall be subject to the financial compensation and certified by the Letter of Access.

To purchase a Letter of Access of IP Consortium substances for registration under REACH or other chemical legislations worldwide (e.g. K-REACH, KKDIK, UK REACH), please contact Consortia Management GmbH online via the LoA portal.
